BEHIND THE DESIGN / Website / B&Bs and vacation rentals

Casa LieveA stay to look forward to, a booking that is easy to start.

A concept for B&Bs and vacation rentals that brings rooms, atmosphere, and the local area into a cohesive story. The journey moves from first impressions to checking availability, keeping inspiration and practical information distinct.

THE IMPRESSION WE WANT TO CREATE
«I could slow down here, feel at ease, and plan my stay without the hassle.»

Who it is for
Travelers looking for an intimate place to stay, and B&B or vacation rental owners interested in receiving direct inquiries.

A design intention, not a promise
This is the intention behind the design. Perception also depends on the audience, content, and service. It is not a result measured through testing or market research.

02 / CHOOSING THE COLORS

More than a palette.
A clear message.

For each color: its inspiration, the impression we want to create, and its role in the interface.

Natural ivory

#F7F4EF
Why we chose it
It echoes the soft light of the interiors and gives photographs and text room to breathe.
What we want to communicate
Warmth, calm, and simplicity.
Where it is used
The main background and storytelling sections.

Olive green

#4C5730
Why we chose it
It visually connects the house to the landscape and contrasts with the lighter tones.
What we want to communicate
Nature, authenticity, and a distinctive direction.
Where it is used
Booking buttons, icons, and brand details.

Ink

#20201D
Why we chose it
It is softer than pure black and keeps longer passages easy to read.
What we want to communicate
Understated elegance and clarity.
Where it is used
Headings, body text, and navigation.

Warm stone

#CBB99A
Why we chose it
It recalls the walls, linen, and materials in the photographs.
What we want to communicate
Continuity between the visual identity and the place.
Where it is used
Accents, borders, and supporting colors.

Colors have no universal meaning and do not guarantee sales. Here, the associations are grounded in the imagery and the project's identity. Contrast, interaction states, and readability must be checked in actual use.

03 / TYPE AND IMAGERY

The tone comes through
in the details, too.

Georgia and serif typefaces

The editorial typeface adds warmth to the story and makes Casa Lieve feel like a place with a history, rather than an impersonal listing. Labels and controls use a simple font to remain easy to understand.

The photography

The room, terrace, and table show different moments of the same experience. Tones, materials, and lighting stay consistent so they do not suggest different properties.

04 / PAGES AND USER JOURNEY

Every page has a purpose.

The structure separates information and guides decisions. In apps, these sections represent screens or steps, not necessarily separate web addresses.
