BEHIND THE DESIGN / App / barbershop

CortoThe character of a place, in an everyday ritual.

A welcoming barber club with attention to detail. The salon's identity carries through the booking experience without obscuring services, people, or prices.

THE IMPRESSION WE WANT TO CREATE
«I can see the care that goes into this place, the style feels right, and I know how to book.»

Who it is for
People choosing a service and a professional for a haircut or beard trim.

A design intention, not a promise
This is the intention behind the design. Perception also depends on the audience, content, and service. It is not a result measured through testing or market research.

02 / CHOOSING THE COLORS

More than a palette.
A clear message.

For each color: its inspiration, the impression we want to create, and its role in the interface.

Warm black

#120F0C
Why we chose it
It echoes the salon's shadows and dark furnishings.
What we want to communicate
An understated, intimate, considered presence.
Where it is used
The main background, allowing imagery and content to stand out.

Deep brown

#28211B
Why we chose it
It recalls the wood and leather in the interior.
What we want to communicate
Warmth and continuity with a physical place.
Where it is used
Secondary surfaces that stand apart from the background.

Sand

#D2BFA6
Why we chose it
It draws on the warm light and details in the photographs.
What we want to communicate
Quiet elegance, without a cold feel.
Where it is used
The Book button and highlighted accents.

Ivory

#F4EEE6
Why we chose it
It complements the warm palette without introducing a cool white.
What we want to communicate
Visual softness and consistency.
Where it is used
Headings and text on the dark background.

Colors have no universal meaning and do not guarantee sales. Here, the associations are grounded in the imagery and the project's identity. Contrast, interaction states, and readability must be checked in actual use.

03 / TYPE AND IMAGERY

The tone comes through
in the details, too.

Palatino / Georgia + system font

The serif lettering in the name and headings evokes classic editorial design. Practical information uses the system font to distinguish brand expression from service details.

The photography

The interior conveys the atmosphere; portraits identify the professionals available to book. The transparent panel keeps the salon visible behind the message.

Visual detail from the Corto project
Concept imagery, not photography from a client project.
04 / PAGES AND USER JOURNEY

Every page has a purpose.

The structure separates information and guides decisions. In apps, these sections represent screens or steps, not necessarily separate web addresses.

  1. 01

    Home

The opening brings together identity, atmosphere, and the Book button. The team and price list let visitors start with either a person or a service.

  2. 02

    Service and professional

The first step brings together the service, duration, price, and barber to make the choice clear.

  3. 03

    Date and time

The second step separates demo availability from the choice of treatment.

  4. 04

    Summary and confirmation

The third step brings the choices together before the simulated confirmation.

  5. 05

    My appointments

Being able to find, edit, or cancel an appointment keeps the journey clear even after confirmation.

The main user journey
